Growing Up with Bakers Corner is a remarkably detailed and often touching story of farm life lived 1907-2003 by an intelligent, sensitive, and interesting woman, Mary Elizabeth Wilson. Although her life was lived in a little town in central Indiana, in many ways, with its stories of customs and extended family and farm chores it could have happened almost anywhere in the Midwest. Mary Elizabeth kept all the beloved memorabilia of the life she loved as a child: dolls and toys, church songbooks, furniture and even her grandmother's hanging matchbox.
