Author Biography

Yuan Longping was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering who worked at the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center. As a world-famous scientist engaged in the research of hybrid rice breeding and cultivation, he invented the three-line system for indica hybrid rice and successfully developed the two-line system. He established the technical system for super hybrid rice and proposed and implemented a high-yielding project— Planting Three to Produce Four Yield-Increasing Program of Super Hybrid Rice, with the great technical achievements he made in super hybrid rice. Ma Guohui is a senior Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center research fellow. As a famous agricultural expert engaged in researching high-yielding and high-efficiency cultivation of hybrid rice, he has presided over and participated in more than 20 major national scientific research projects. He has created technical achievements and systems for the high-yielding cultivation of hybrid rice and double-cropping rice cultivation under a three-cropping system.
