This is the story of a British Medical Officer who witnessed the last days of the German Third Reich, as a prisoner of war, from outside the barbed wire. Author Biography

Stuart Mawson qualified as a doctor in 1943 and in that same year became Medical Officer to the 11th Parachute Battalion, 1st Airborne Division, seeing action for the first time at Arnhem in September 1944.
