Charred Innocence

The father, sister and brother of Melissa Harris, a young innocent woman, are brutally murdered with an axe. Her innocent world is charred. Unbeknownst to the killer, she knows who the killer is, but is too terrified to speak up. Her close friend’s husband, Mitchell Miller, is the lead detective. When he is instructed by his supervisor to arrest someone he believes is innocent, he resigns the force and becomes a private investigator. His first client is the young woman. The killer makes an attempt on both their lives, leaving them both hospitalized temporarily. Melissa is left in a coma while Miller, once he recovers from his wounds, resumes the investigation. Crime, drama and romance ensue throughout the story.
