Summary

The better prepared a service member becomes through their transition, the greater the chances in achieving their desired lifestyle and goals. The Transition: Preparing for Financial Combat is an invaluable guide dedicated to helping transitioning service members adapt psychologically to their post-military life. With an approach that provides a unique insight and techniques to develop the self-awareness to succeed and thrive in the civilian workplace, it assists our nation's greatest asset—its service members.'The Transition' is your catchphrase for the physical and mental state of change, and 'Preparing for Financial Combat' represents the psychological readiness required to obtain your desired financial security. The support structures and systems to which you became accustomed in the military will be different once separated, so your transition plan and the decisions you make will impact your post-military financial security. Based on the structure of military publications and doctrine with which military personnel are familiar, the book enables easy access to desired information. It consolidates heavily-dispersed information, simplifies difficult-to-comprehend programs, and serves as an alternative source for services.
