Affirming Your Relationship With God is an inspired first book of poetry by Julius M. Ross, Jr. It is a work that captivated the hearts of others before he ever thought of publishing it. As he states: Comments in response to reading my journal entry for Day 20: Restoring Relationships inspired me to begin typing this manuscript. As I read to a friend, she cried and said to me, "That was beautiful." When I heard this, my faith in what God was doing through my journal entries of verse was increased and confirmed. Restoring Relationships (Day 20) With you, I need to restore, A relationship today. For you, I spoke and listened, To God, I prayed. To God, I said, "Help me, O' Lord, Restore relationship," I said, Tell me, O' Lord, What I should say, Lead me, O' God, Say the words I should speak. Tell me O' Father, What I should keep. Then, listen, did I, As God said to me, "Speak to My heart, My son, Then you speak to Me." Thank you, O' God! I shouted with a cry aloud, For I knew, just then, When I speak to you, I speak to God too. He heard my cry, And so did you. Now, what I should say, Is no mystery to me. I listen to the heart of God, and My heart speaks with clarity, Things unknown. Not with the wisdom of my own, But the heart of God, He makes reconciliation His throne. Jesus saves what was lost before, and Restores forever more. Thank you, O' God, my Father and King, Thank you, O' Lord for restoring our hearts, Our souls.
