P Is for Peace Garden : A North Dakota Alphabet

Roxane B. Salonen, the daughter of teachers, grew up in Poplar, Montana, on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. During summers and holidays her family often returned to Bismarck, North Dakota, where her parents had met while working at the capitol. After living in Minnesota and Washington, Roxane and her husband, Troy, decided to return to North Dakota in 1996 to settle in the Fargo area with their first child, Christian. Their subsequent three children, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Adam, are all North Dakota natives. Roxane has worked most often as a reporter and freelance writer. This is her second picture book.
