Pushpinder Singh was blessed with a Dhee (daughter) Charan Kaur in 2014. Since then he has searched around for good punjabi literature for kids and parents. He contacted numerous personalities to create content but nobody was interested in taking up a kids project.
It became very clear early on that he will have to take this initiative on his own. Life took it's course and in 2022 the family was blessed with another daughter Paij Kaur. Arrival of his Bhateeji (Niece) re-triggered those emotions and dreams of creating punjabi kids literature.
So in final week of 2022 while remembering sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, his four Sahibzadas and countless Sikhs the book was created and project was set in motion. Here it is for everyone to enjoy.
This first book is collection of beautiful Punjabi Loriyan (lullabies) for Punjabi daughters. The relationship of a father and daughter is very important across the cultures but it is not expressed during childhood of daughters in available written records of Punjabi folklore. This is an attempt correct that omission and inspire others to write more on the subject. Loriyan in this book are all about bond of love between Father and Daughter.
The book is written to inspire the dads to get more involved in daily routine with their daughters and also to inspire love for Sikh Religion and Spirituality among kids and their parents.
Pushpinder Singh has already planned multiple books in series to approach the subject of Punjabi Loriyan and will be releasing them over next year.
