There were times when any one of the recipe's in this book would have seemed like a meal fit for a king. A few were provided by friends and relatives, but most are true tex recipe's derived from some research and many trials and errors in attempts to provide meals for a hungry family.The Chili recipe in particular is one that was created by cookies who followed Charles Goodnight and Jesse Chisholm up cattle trails to Colorado and Kansas.
