Tobias Steed's interest in film began when he became a run-on extra in Charley's Aunt starring Danny la Rue. Since then his avid interest in Hollywood classics and frequent discourses over dinner and a cocktail or two, have culminated in this book, which unites his two loves -- the cocktail and the Hollywood matinee idol. Steed is also a contributor to The Sunday Times 1000 Makers of the Cinema, published by Thames and Hudson. Ben Reed is manager of the Met Bar in London and was the 1997 Cocktail Barman of the Year. He writes a regular column for The Times magazine, has appeared on television and is in demand internationally for his mixing expertise.
