Summary

Rumi Maki is an unprecedented voyage into the world of Peru's indigenous martial culture and martial arts. It is filled with the history, legend and techniques of this exotic martial art as preserved by one of the last practising masters of this art. Beginning with a comprehensive look at the origin of fighting arts in the land of the Incas, Flores and Vega unfold a detailed look at the five-level structure of the art, with instructions and demonstrations of the techniques from each level. The Incas' unique approach to conditioning (physical and mental), philosophy, spirituality, weaponry, and military structure are also presented for the first time in this book. Hundreds of photos and illustrations are used to pass on the martial legacy of the Incas.
