Author Biography

Mary Hull Webster is an artist and writer based in Northern California. Her recent major project was a collaborative exhibition at the Oakland Museum titled What Is Art For? (What Are Museums For? What Are You For?). As a contributing editor to Artweek, she has focused on the art and artists of the San Francisco Bay Area, with a special interest in extending the boundarles that define our ideas about art. For fifteen years she has been on the faculty of John F. Kennedy University's Arts and Consciousness Department.
