Summary

Overcoming Systemic Prejudice and Discrimination is both timely and relevant for readers of all backgrounds. Each chapter offers empowering insight that enhances social awareness of unethical practices so readers can understand how to create positive systemic change. The book makes it clear that systemic bias is implemented to sustain inequality – and shines light on the fact that the most diverse groups are putting in the work to overcome this plight. I found myself both inspired and enlightened by the book. It stands out for many reasons, but to me, I admired its relentless positivity and practicality. Although prejudice and discrimination are deeply harmful and have stained many of our institutions, there is hope for change. I highly recommend this book to all business professionals, educators, and leaders in any field. It is rich with insight and analogies that tackle pressing issues head-on, and offers solutions that will lead to meaningful change. It is a book that will empower those who felt powerless. You will have a hard time putting it down as you dive into its notions on ethical resilience, bias, inequality, leadership, and power dynamics. The world certainly needs this book, perhaps now more than ever. Joe Yamulla
