Author Biography

Matt Delorenzo was named Detroit editor of Roads & Track Magazine in January of 1998 after an eight-year stint as editor of Autoweek magazine. His tenure as editor of America's only weekly car enthusiast magazine spanned half his 16-year career with Autoweek's publisher, Crain Communications. DeLorenzo has written two books, Volkswagen New Beetle and Chrysler Concept Cars: The Designs that Saved the Company, the latter awarded "Best of Books 2001" by the International Automotive Media Association, and has co-authored two other books with noted automotive journalist John Lamm on the Chrysler PT Cruiser and the Hummer H2. DeLorenzo is a founding member of the North American Car and Truck of the Year Award.
